State Rep. Tom Cross’ Annual Senior Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 4 at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield.
The event will include free health screenings, door prizes and seasonal flu shots to senior citizens.
Available health screenings will include blood oxygen levels, blood pressure, glucose, balance/strength assessment and flu shots.
To receive a free seasonal flu shot, seniors must bring Medicare Part B cards. Those who are not covered by Medicare Part B will be charged $28 for the shot.
Seniors with Medicare HMO coverage should receive their flu shots at their physician’s office.
Staff from Cross’s office will also be available to answer legislative questions.
