The C.W. Avery Family YMCA will host a back-to-school meet and greet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 16 for area families who want to learn more about its before and after school programs.

Kidz Zone staf will be on hand to talk with families, who will also be able to learn more about upcoming school year activities.

The Y's Kidz Zone program serves all elementary schools in District 202.

During the school year, the programs are open from about 7 to  9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. The program is also open on school breaks.

Program activities include arts and crafts, games and other recreational fun.

 Students must be registered by Aug. 13 in order to attend Kidz Zone on the first day of school.
