The Plainfield Fire Protection District, an authorized American Heart Association Training Center, is holding Heartsaver AED classes from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 28 and from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept 7  at district headquarters, 15025 S. Des Plaines St. Classes are open to the general public and to health-care providers, teachers, lifeguards, child care workers, coaches and security guards.
