Nicole Walker, a Plainfield High School -- Central Campus physics teacher, won a prestigious science award April 12.
The Harald Jensen Award is named for Lake Forest College faculty member Harald Jensen, who founded the Illinois State Physics Project. The honor was awarded to Walker at the annual Tri-physics meeting of the Illinois State Physics Project, Physics Northwest, and Physics West organizations.
Walker also has received the Claes Nobel educator of distinction award for encouragement of and dedication to the academic success of students in 2009.
