The Plainfield Library is a drop-off site for holiday lights that no longer work.  As you decorate for the holidays, you are bound to come across some lights that don’t work anymore.  Drop them off at the Library so they can be recycled and re-purposed by Elgin Recycling. The Library receives 15 cents for every pound collected.  Any proceeds will be used to fund future “Go Green” events and activities for the community.  Drop off lights any time that is convenient through January 24.  Look for the collection boxes outside the Library next to the book return window.
