Interfaith Food Pantry Makes Christmas Better for a Record Number of Plainfield Families
The Plainfield Interfaith Food Pantry provided groceries & toiletries, a bag of apples and a frozen turkey to a record, over 300, needy Plainfield families this past week. Families picked up the items at the Food Pantry facility in the Plainfield Township Building, 22525 W. Lockport off Route 126. Distribution continued for several days, from Dec. 14 through Dec. 18.
Not thinking of their time and energy, all volunteers expressed their thanks to all those whose contributions made it possible to serve record numbers of our neighbors.
Throughout the year, the Plainfield Interfaith Food Pantry provides food and other basic household items (diapers, toilet paper, school supplies, etc.) to local residents of Plainfield School District 202, families and individuals who, otherwise, cannot afford these basics.
