Keller Williams Realty Infinity in Naperville is proud to announce that on Thursday, May 12th our office will close and all of our agents will be taking the day off—from business that is!  All of our staff and Realtor® associates here in Naperville and across the country will be putting business aside, rolling up our sleeves and getting out into our local community to "Give Where You Live."

Red Day is short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” and was created to unite all Keller Williams Realty offices, associates, staff, family members and business partners in an international day of service. Red Day 2011 will be one of the biggest happenings in the real estate industry to date.

As part of the RED Day effort, our Naperville Keller Williams Infinity office has chosen to spend the day with the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The mission of ReStore is to raise funds for  the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity® by selling donated building materials, furniture, and gently used items needed to build, repair or to furnish a home.  These items are offered to the general public at greatly reduced prices.  100% of the profits from these sales go directly to support the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity® locally in their mission to build safe and affordable housing. This new facility is now open for business.  They are located on the outer drive near the Westfield Mall, across the parking lot form Macy’s and Carson’s in Aurora.

On Thursday, May 12th we will be helping our friends at ReStore in their much needed volunteer roles.  We encourage you help to make this a success!  Thanks to one of our RED Day partners, Prager Moving and Storage, our Keller Williams Infinity family will be out in your neighborhood picking up items you wish to donate.  I have attached a list of the items that ReStore will accept. Your donation is tax deductible. The Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a registered 501(c)3 charity and  will be providing a tax donation receipt when you make a donation on that day.

What a great way to do a little spring cleaning!  Thinking about changing out some light fixtures, renovating a bath or kitchen?  ReStore will happily accept Home décor items as they are big sellers in the store.  If you are in the area, stop by the new ReStore and check it out for yourself!

Interested in donating?  Simply reply to this email with your address, the types of items you will be donating, (we want to be sure to send the right vehicle to pick up your donations).  We’ll then give you the approximate time for pick up.  If you won’t be at home at the time of the pick up simply leave the items outside and we’ll take care of the rest!

This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty’s culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone. I can’t tell you what an impact it has made on each of us personally.  It’s great to give back to the community we know and love.

During RED Day 2010, over 35,000 Keller Williams associates participated in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes totaling more than 150,000 hours of service making RED Day one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
