Phillips Metals Inc. Opens Plainfield Depot

Phillips Metals Inc. (PMI) has opened a depot in the southwest Chicago suburb of Plainfield.  The company plans to provide warehousing services to their partner tube manufacturing mills as well as to offer direct business-to-business sales of carbon steel structural and mechanical tubing.  The facility is 10,000 sq feet and PMI expects to add a saw cutting capability to assist with special customer orders. 

Phillips Metals Inc. is a sales and consulting company specializing in tubular products.  PMI represents tube producing mills from North America and Asia and sells their tubular products into a variety of markets including automotive, construction, agricultural, recreation, medical, mining, fluid power, power generation, and others.  Through the company's mill principals PMI sells welded and seamless tubing in carbon, alloy, stainless, galvanized, duplex, cupronickel, titanium, copper, admiralty brass, and nickel alloys.  The company has sales offices in Chicago, Detroit, Dayton, and Louisville.  PMI is proud of their sales affiliations with James Steel & Tube Company, Heat Transfer Tubular Products, Marcegaglia USA, ILJIN Steel Corporation, and Tube Products of India.
