The Plainfield Fire Protection District will accept toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program through Dec. 15.

Those interested in participating can drop off toys to any of the FPD's four fire stations.

Fire Station One is located at 14415 S. Coil Plus Drive; Fire Station Two is located at 23806 W. 135th Street; Fire Station Three is at 25001 W. 119th Street, and Fire Station Four is at 15930 S. Frederick Street.

Toys can also be dropped off at the FPD's Administration and Training Facility, 23748 W. 135th Street, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The C.W. Avery YMCA, 15120 S. Wallin Drive, will also serve as a collection site.

Donated toys must be new and in their original packaging. They cannot come gift wrapped. Stuffed animals and stuffed toys should not be donated.

Those interested in signing their child up as a Toys for Tots recipient should contact Marco at the Joliet Boys and Girls Club at (815) 723-3434.

Sign up will be held from on Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 28 to Dec. 16.
