The District 202 community is invited to enjoy the magic of all four high schools’ choir departments as they present their annual Madrigal dinners.
The Plainfield High School-Central Campus (PHSCC) choir department will hold its annual Madrigal Dinner at 5 p.m. on December 15 and December 16, 2012.
The event will feature a "Monty Python"-esque style program and an evening of music from the Madrigal Singers, Brass Ensemble, Recorder Ensemble, and more.
This year's Madrigal Dinner promises to be one of the most humorous yet, as the Madrigal King has arranged for a large Christmas banquet and family reunion, complete with a bickering mother, and the family black sheep.
Tickets are $18 and include a full multi-course meal. Please call the bookkeeping department at 815-436-3200 ext. 5945 by December 6, 2012.
The Plainfield East High School choir department will host its fifth annual Madrigal Dinner at 6:30 p.m. on December 1 and 2, 2012 at the school, 12001 South Naperville Road, Plainfield.
The Madrigal Dinner will feature an evening of song, merriment and revelry compliments of the Madrigal Singers, Le Jolie Voix (PEHS Treble Ensemble), Madrigal Brass and Madrigal Recorder Ensemble.
Tickets are $18 each and dinner is included. Tickets can be purchased through ticket order forms, which are available on the PEHS web site (http://www.psd202.org/PEHS).
The Plainfield North High School music department will hold its eighth annual Madrigal Dinner at 6 p.m. on December 8 and 9, 2012 at the school, 12005 South 248th Street, Plainfield.
The Madrigal Dinner will feature an evening filled with food, music and revelry with performances by the PNHS Madrigal Ensemble, Bella Voce, Accafellas, as well as numerous actresses, actors and instrumentalists who will transport attendees back to the Renaissance.
Guests can enter the castle of great Lords and Ladies, laugh at the Court Jester, and feast on figgy pudding while the hall echoes with the sounds of holiday music.
Tickets cost $18 each and include dinner. Tickets can be purchased on the PNHS choir web site (http://www.pnhschoirs.com); or by contacting Choir Director Jason Hawkins at (815) 609-8506 ext. 2882, or via e-mail at jhawkins@psd202.org.
The Plainfield South High School choir department will hold its 12th annual Madrigal Dinner at 7 p.m. December 1 and 2 p.m. December 2, 2012 in the PSHS auditorium, 7800 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.
