Plainfield Man Looking for Rehab and a Job Wins an iPad from Alden Estates of Shorewood
David P. Koniecnzy of Plainfield won an iPad as part of an online raffle sponsored by the new Alden Estates of Shorewood. Koniecnzy was searching for rehab services for his mother-in-law as well as job opportunities when he came across the website, www.AldenEstatesofShorewood.com.
He saw a pop up message, ‘Enter to Win a Free iPad.’ Koniecnzy completed the online form and the rest is history.
“I am very happy to have won,” says Koniecnzy. “It’s like winning the lottery.”
Alden Estates of Shorewood Administrator Annette Borcky, RN, came up with the idea of a raffle to increase awareness of her new facility, which offers short-term orthopedic recovery and post-acute services.
“I wanted to increase traffic to our website and have people check us out even before we opened,” said Borcky. “I thought offering an iPad would get their attention.”
Borcky considers the raffle a success with over 300 entries.
“We were pleasantly surprised by the high response and are glad we are getting the word out about the community’s newest short-term orthopedic and post-acute care center,” says Borcky.
“The place is really something,” says Koniecnzy. “They gave me a tour and I was very impressed.”
