Plainfield is looking for applicants to serve on the Plan Commission.

Members attend two meetings a month, review land use/development proposals and make recommendations to the Village Board. 

A more detailed description of the duties of the position from the village is as follows: "This may include reviewing site plans, engineering, traffic, code updates, and environmental issues.   The Commission also hears testimony from developers, staff, and affected/interested neighbors or surrounding property owners.   A Commissioner is required to have an open mind, understand the Comprehensive Plan, and apply individual judgment in the public interest while fostering an intellectual and factual examination of the issues with other commissioners in a public setting."
