St. Mary Immaculate School Starts Monday, August 20

Opening Day Flag Raising Ceremony and More

Nearly 550 students, plus faculty, parents and parish staff will participate in St. Mary Immaculate School’s traditional first school day Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, August 20 morning outdoors at the flag post in the front of the building.

Fr. David Medow, Pastor of St. Mary Immaculate Parish; School Principal John Garvey; and Jennifer Errthum, Assistant Principal; will offer opening prayers, brief comments and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

The day starts at 8:30 am when students report to their classroom.  Pre-Kindergarten students and parents will also attend their orientation session from 8:45  to 9:45 am.

Parents can relax and catch-up with friends in the Commons over coffee, juices and breakfast snacks sponsored by the Home and School Association.  The Flag Raising Ceremony will start at 9:15 am. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am to get ready for a full day of school on Tuesday.
