Wheatland Presbyterian Welcomes Interim Pastor Rev. Jack Lilley
The Wheatland Presbyterian “Scotch” Church, 11839 Sosuth Heggs Road, Plainfield, welcomes Rev. Jack Lilley as their Interim Pastor. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he and his wife Esther, presently reside in St. Charles, IL. He holds the B.A. in History from Bryon College (Dayton, TN), the M.A. in New Testament and Greek from Wheaton Graduate School (Wheaton, IL) and the Ph.D. in Theology from Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI). As a mission worker in Venezuela and Mexico, he taught New Testament in seminary and university, and founded new congregations. Upon returning to the U.S. in 2000, he created and taught online graduate courses for Latin American pastors and educators. He organized a Latino congregation at the First Presbyterian Church of Marengo, IL and served as Associate Pastor at the Oswego Presbyterian Church. Rev. Lilley is eager to focus on reaching out to everyone in the Oswego/Plainfield communities. Wheatland Presbyterian is located on Heggs Rd. and 119th Street just five miles north of Plainfield. Sunday morning services are at 10:00 AM. Their Christmas Eve communion and candle lighting service will be at 5:00 PM.
