Missing Lockport Teen Last Seen in Worth

Family turns to social media for help in finding 15-year-old daughter.

The family of a 15-year-old girl missing since Sunday is turning to social media in the hopes of locating her.

Courtney Jean Arp is believed to be a runaway and was last seen around 8 p.m. Sunday near 113th Street and Ridgeland Avenue in Worth.

Courtney's primary residence is with her mother in Lockport, but she was visiting her father, Les Arp, in Worth for winter break when she went missing on Sunday. She is a sophomore at Lockport High School.

“She snuck out her bedroom window,” Les Arp said. “She is definitely a runaway.”

Courtney has not used her cell phone since Sunday, but has contacted a few of her friends privately on Facebook.

“As soon as they asked where she was at, she terminated the conversation,” Arp said of his daughter.

Worth police is presently putting together a “missing person” flier for the 15-year-old girl.

Meanwhile, Courtney’s aunt put out this plea on Facebook:

“This is my 15 yr old niece, Courtney, last seen in Worth, IL. She's been gone for over 32 hours now. PLEASE let us know if you see or talk with her. Court - WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU. Please let us know you're alright...."

If anyone has seen Courtney, please contact the Worth Police Department at 708-448-3979 or the Lockport Police Department at 815-838-2131; or her family at 630-248-0481.
