Murphy Narrowly Misses Out on Michigan Job
The Plainfield village administrator was second-runner up for the city administrator post in East Lansing.
Village Administrator Brian Murphy will not be leaving Plainfield for a new job in East Lansing, Mich.
The East Lansing City Council decided Friday that it would go with its interim city manager, George Lahanas, for the position. At the end, Murphy was the only other candidate under consideration, according to an article in The (East Lansing) State News.
Murphy is a Michigan native and Plainfield's village administrator since 2009. He was one of 56 candidates to be considered for the job and made the cut three times before finally losing out to Lahanas.
