Police Blotter: Drag Racing, Hit and Run and DUI Arrests

Arrests reported by the Plainfield police, July 16-Aug. 8.

 

July 16

Hit and run charge

Joshua Judd, 18, of the 1400 block of Green Trails Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 2:30 a.m. in the 24000 block of Main Street and charged with hit and run, police said.

Aug. 1

Battery arrest

Rayshawn Williams, 21, fo the 14000 block of Independence Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at his home at 9:14 p.m. and charged with domestic battery, police said.

Aug. 2

DUI, hit and run charges

Jacqueline Larucci, 50, of the 24000 block of Hemlock, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 11:08 a.m. at her home and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and hit and run, police said.

Aug. 7

Men charged with drag racing

Nineteen-year-olds Peter Argus, of the 3500 block of Harris Drive, Joliet, and Corey Asa, of the 2200 block of Daffodil Drive, Crest Hill, were arrested by Plainfield police at 3:41 p.m. at Freedom Way and Meadow Lane and charged with drag racing, police said.

Aug. 8

No license arrests

Jennifer Cortez, 25, of the 3000 block of Woodside Drive, Joliet, was arrested by Plainfield police at 9:55 a.m. at Joliet and Renwick roads and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to police.

Betzaida Sosa, 40, of the 1800 block of Asbury Circle, Joliet, was arrested at 9:19 a.m. at Main Street and Route 59 and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license, police said.

Warrant arrest

Juan Perez, 19, of the 24000 block of Mill Creek Lane, Plainfield, was arrested at his home by Plainfield police at 12:48 a.m. on an in-state warrant, police said.
