Road Projects Start This Week: Where to Watch Out
Several road projects will get under way this week in the Village of Plainfield.

The Village of Plainfield announced the following road projects and closures will start this week:
- Improvements to the alleys immediately north and south of Lockport Street from Des Plaines Street to Illinois Street are tentatively scheduled to begin August 29. Intermittent closures to the alleys will be required during construction which is expected to last until Sept. 8.
- The Village's 2012 Motor Fuel Tax Resurfacing Program will begin in September and last until mid-October. Included in this year's program will be roadways in the Walker's Grove and Heritage Meadows subdivisions as well as Penn Road.
- Paving of the final roadway surface along with patching and curb and gutter repairs are scheduled to begin the week of Aug. 27 in the Dayfield subdivision.
