Two Hurt in Chain-Reaction Crash on I-55

The crash involving three cars and a semi brought northbound traffic to a standstill Sunday morning near Plainfield.

Two people were injured in a crash involving three vehicles and a semi-truck Sunday morning on northbound I-55 near Route 126.

Chief Jon Stratton said two people were taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while 10 other people refused treatment at the scene. Stratton said the call came in around 10:50 a.m.

The wet weather Sunday morning may have contributed to the crash.
