Troy Middle School Seeks Community Support for Grant Application
Troy Middle School in Plainfield has applied for a grant through the Clorox Corporation to purchase equipment to teach students about renewable energies. Students will learn, in a hands-on classroom lab, how wind and solar energy is generated and used to power simple machines. Steve Meyer, 8th grade Applied Technologies teacher, submitted the grant proposal on behalf of the school, but now the school needs support from the community. The grant winners are based on votes. You can vote once each day from now through December 19, 2012. There are three easy ways to vote.
