Help a Plainfield Teen Spread Comfort with Teddy Bears
In honor of the one-year anniversary of her brain surgery, Caley Trepac is collecting teddy bears to donate to patients at a Chicago-area hospital.
Last month, Patch shared the story of Caley Trepac, a 15-year-old Plainfield South student who is battling back from a health crisis while helping others.
The teen, who had surgery last November to treat a rare brain malformation, has now partnered with the Plainfield Public Library to collect teddy bears to bring comfort to young patients at Rush University Medical Center.
Teddy bears can be dropped off in the youth services department (located downstairs) at the library, 15025 S. Illinois St., now through Oct. 31. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Donated teddy bears must be new.
