With the return of the "polar vortex," it's hard to believe it, but summer will be here before you know it.

That means it's time for organizers to start making plans for Plainfield Fest 2014.

Last July, the 2013 fest featured appearances by former Blackhawks Eddie Olczyk and and Denis Savard, along with a new "best pizza" contest.

This week, organizers took to Facebook to ask fans what they'd like to see at this year's event. Check out the widget to see what they had to say (just click to view the comments).

You can also keep up with Plainfield Fest plans by becoming a fan on Facebook.

Your turn: What are your ideas for this summer's fest? What kind of food, bands and entertainment could help draw a crowd to Plainfield?

Trustee garrett peck, in a dunk-tank... electric eels optional. $5/ball, and the fest would pay for itself.

Have more than one time with wristbands so it's not do crowded when that goes on. I bought wristbands for my older kids and they only got to go on one ride because it was so crowded.

Move it to Settler's Park and leave Lockport Street open.
