Community Corner

Art Therapy and Autism

Little Friends is hosting a free community presentation entitled, “Art Therapy and Autism.”  It will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, at Madden Theater, Lower level of Wentz Hall at North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Avenue, Naperville, from 7pm until 8:30pm.  Staff members from Krejci Academy, Little Friend’s flagship program, will present an overview of how art is incorporated throughout a typical school day for children that are on the autism spectrum through art, speech and occupational therapy, and in a classroom setting.  Two short films focusing on art therapy will also be shown:  “Breaking Boundaries”, and “My Classic Life as an Artist”.  A panel discussion will round out the evening with time for a question/answer session at the conclusion.  Reservations are required as seating is limited.  Please call 630-355-6533 to reserve your spot.
