Key players: Plainfield North: Kevin Krieger, Soph. G; Jake Nowak, Jr. G; Trevor Stumpe, Jr. F. Plainfield East: Aaron Jordan, Jr. G; Nick Novak, Sr. G; Myles Ward, Sr. G.

Fast Facts: The headliner is Jordan, who is one of the top juniors in the state and a key piece to Illinois coach John Groce’s 2015 recruiting class. The multi-talented guard leads the Bengals with 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. Jordan is flanked by a pair of skilled senior guards, though he is the only East player averaging double figures in scoring. Point guard Myles Ward (8.4 PPG, 3 APG, 2.6 RPG) and Millikin recruit Nick Novak (9.4 PPG) help out a Bengals team that has won six of its last seven games. Plainfield North comes in with only three seniors on the roster, but finds itself in a battle with Plainfield East and Plainfield South in the SPC. Stumpe has become one of the area’s top juniors with his breakout season. He averages 23.2 points, 6.2 rebounds. 2.5 assists and two steals per game to go with 17 blocked shots. Stumpe is a threat both on the perimeter and the interior, and is picking up Division I offers as the season has gone on. Joining Stumpe is a pair of fellow non-seniors, Nowak and Krieger, averaging 11 points per game. North also plays a rotation of nine players throughout the game. The Tigers suffered a pair of losses in January but bounced back well with a convincing 21-point win over conference co-leader Plainfield South, before dropping from atop the SPC on Tuesday. The game also has a charitable aspect to it. Fans are encouraged to wear pink on Friday in honor of a faculty member with a child who recently had a tumor removed.
