FY 2015 Plainfield Budget!

As a homeowners and taxpayers in the Village of Plainfield we are appalled at the proposed budget as written for FY 2015.  This budget as it stands insults the very essence of living here!  The overall estimated costs since FY2012 has risen at an overwhelming rate in most areas, especially in contractual services, employee wages, and benefits!   As it stands the question everyone living and paying taxes here in Plainfield should be asking themselves is:  If during FY2011, and FY2012, we made cuts and lived on a reduced budget, then WHY are we increasing that spending in many areas by 20% while raising taxes again?

Is this endless raising of taxes really necessary?   We did without two/three years ago, so do we really need to get back at endless overspending?  The people who voted to approve this pork belly budget should be severely scolded for their obvious incompetence!  We here in Plainfield do not wish to set the groundwork for another CRASH as we had in 2008/09!  We all need to express our resentment with our trustees as they obviously lost sight of what a balanced budget should be without more taxes!   More taxes do not correspond to better services, nor do they reward efficiency, they only express cowardice by our village trustees to make needed cuts to our keep taxes low!  We applaud Paul Fay for voting NO on this proposal!   We hope that all concerned citizens take the time to oversee all 55 pages of this budget and DEMAND it be revised!
