Linden Oaks hosts annual Candlelight Vigil for eating disorders on May 19

Linden Oaks at Edward and the National Association for Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Eating Disorders (ANAD) will host the 11th annual Candlelight Vigil for those affected by eating disorders on Monday, May 19, 6 p.m. in the Healing Garden of Linden Oaks at Edward, on the campus of Edward Hospital at 801 S. Washington St. in Naperville.  The event is open to the public.

The Candlelight Vigil is held each year to motivate and encourage recovery, provide support for families, to commemorate those who have lost their lives and recognize those who have recovered and survived.

Johanna Kandel, author of “Life Beyond Your Eating Disorder,” will be the keynote speaker for the event.  Kandel, Founder/CEO of the Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness, struggled with eating disorders for 10 years before getting help.
