NJWC Donates $5,000 to Humanitarian Service Project
Naperville Junior Woman’s Club donated $5,000 to Humanitarian Service Project, and presented the official check today to Floyd Kettering, Co-founder and CFO and Kristin Maxwell, Executive Director. The members of Naperville Junior Woman’s Club (NJWC) chose Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) as their Community Improvement Project where fundraising efforts by the club will benefit HSP’s senior and children programs during 2013 and 2014.
The donation is the result of several fundraising efforts including a spring fashion show that NJWC hosted for 400 guests in April 2013, a Ladies Night Out in November 2013, and individual donations from the Club’s members.
As of today, NJWC has helped 840 families, 1,600 children, 123 seniors, brought in 25 tons of groceries and 40 tons of new toys dedicating their time and effort to the HSP programs. Through the end of 2014, NJWC will continue planning and scheduling fun and unique events that provide live entertainment and a collection of donated items that grab the attention of attendees.
The Naperville Junior Woman’s Club is looking for energetic, enthusiastic women to join our Club.
