Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks… A Red, White and Blue Extravaganza!

Record crowds participated at this year Plainfield Park District Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks Display! Plainfield Park District staff estimates between 7-10 thousand people came to celebrate and observe the fireworks on Thursday, July 3.

The event provided fun activities for the entire family, including inflatables, face-painting, Little Obie Train, big trike races, and the enormously popular kids’ Patriotic Bike Parade! The event also included touch-a-truck including military, police, fire, and village vehicles.
