Plainfield High School Hockey Spring Invitational Skates Start this Friday and they are free!

Did you know that Plainfield has a High School Hockey Club?  Well it does.  In fact, any student registered at one of the four Plainfield high schools is eligible to play hockey for Plainfield High School Hockey Association (PHSHA).  Over the next couple of weeks PHSHA will host a number of Invitational Skates which are open to all hockey players that will be registered at one of the four Plainfield High Schools for the 2014-2015 School Year. Players are welcome to attend as many of the skates as they can, free of charge!

When asked about his thoughts on the Invitational Skates and upcoming spring hockey season, President Duane Johnson said, “As we are coming to the end of the fall season, it always brings a great sense of excitement. This past fall season we had two teams join the Illinois West program, and had one team in the Suburban program. Our Varsity team won their first game of State Playoffs, and is playing the #1 seeded team this coming weekend. Our JV Red team is ranked 2nd in state going into the state play-offs, so we are looking forward to some great games for them as well. This is the time we start planning for our spring season and welcoming new players. Historically, we’ve had great attendance at these skates. It’s a great way for new players to meet the coaches and returning players. Each year over the past few years, the club has grown, and we really look forward to continued growth this year.”

The Invitational Skates will be held at Canlan Ice Sports Romeoville on the following dates and times;
