From all of us here at your local Goddard School (5005 West Theodore Street, Plainfield), we want to thank you for your support during our book drive with Bernie's Books.
We set an ambitious goal of collecting 5,000 new or gently-used children's books at our school. After a mere two weeks, we had over 1,500 donated books piling up at our collection boxes across Plainfield and Shorewood. From students and parents, to business owners and Mayor Chapman himself, everyone got involved in our donation drive.
Between 18 participating Chicagoland Goddard Schools, over 44,000 books were collected and delivered to Bernie's in Lake Forest.

At your local Goddard School alone, we surpassed our goal and received 6,100 donations, all because of your generosity.
We feel truly blessed to work with a great organization like Bernie's Books, which is committed to promoting reading readiness for all children. Their dedication to helping those less fortunate inspires our entire Goddard Family in Plainfield.
