Chicago Beer Rally Comes to Will County

Chicago Beer Rally is slated for Saturday, May 3.

Romeoville's brand-new Athletic and Events Center, 55 Phelps Ave., will play host to the first-ever Chicago Beer Rally this spring.

The beer rally is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, featuring brewers from all over the Midwest along with local food vendors and a classic car show.

The event is organized by BrewFest Partners, the force behind other beer festivals in Chicagoland, Wisconsin and Indiana, including the Great Lakes BrewFest and Firkin Beer Fest.

"Each one is sort of unique to that community," Chicago Beer Rally Marketing and Social Media Manager Zoe Barker said, explaining that the events are aimed at bringing craft brew lovers together.

Barker said organizers are excited to bring the fest to the brand-new event center.

"That will be really fun," she said.

General admission tickets are $40 each and include a commemorative pint glass and 20 sampling tokens, along with admission from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

VIP tickets will get you early entry at 5 p.m., plus a commemorative glass, 24 sampling tokens, a $10 voucher for designated fest merchandise, snacks and a VIP beer tasting.

Designated driver tickets are also available for $15 and include unlimited soda and water.

"The Chicago craft beer scene is exploding with the opening of new breweries and the increasing popularity of beers from the established brands," BrewFest partners said on the event's Facebook page. "The Chicago Beer Rally (CBR) invites you to come support Chicagoland craft brewers and rally behind those that make Chicagoland beer so great."

Barker said beer fans can keep up with what breweries are being added to the lineup by following Chicago Beer Rally on Twitter. Once the list is finalized, it will be posted to the beer rally website.

So far, brewers include 3 Sheeps Brewing Company, BrickStone Brewery, B. Nektar Meadery, Ale Syndicate, Chicago Beer Company and Flesk Brewing Company.
