ALL AMERICAN CELEBRATION

WHAT: At the Budweiser Concert Pavilion, visitors can expect entertainment from bands including Josh and The Empty PocketsRendition and The Gina Glocksen Band, as well as a food pavilion, outdoor tavern, beer garden and games and activities for the kids. FREEDOM PARADE

WHAT: With a "Freedom Parade" beginning at 6 p.m., Channahon's celebration will allow children from the area to decorate their bikes and wagons, as well as enjoy a concert in the park and other games and activities, including face painting and a dunk tank.

DARIEN LIONS 4TH OF JULY PARADE AND PICNIC

WHAT: This year's theme is "Celebrating the Independence of Our Country and the 40th Anniversary of the Darien Lions," promising an event filled with excitement as the parade crosses the town, with entrants vying for trophies.

LEMONT INDEPENDENCE DAY EXTRAVAGANZA

WHAT: This year, the Lemont Park District presents activities for residents and visitors of all ages all day, starting from the Freedom Run at 8 a.m. to the Lemont Park Foundation Beer Garden at 3 p.m., musical performances by the Neverly brothers at 4 p.m. and Pipe Dream at 7 p.m., ending with an evening bean-bag tournament and fireworks at dusk.
