Celebrate Recovery Starts Plainfield Group

The recovery group will meet Thursdays at Crosswinds Church starting next month.

Community members looking for support are invited to a new Plainfield Celebrate Recovery group.

Described as a "Christ-centered recovery program," the eight-week Celebrate Recovery session will meet at 7 p.m. every Thursday at Crosswinds Church, 14360 S. Route 59, starting April 3.

"It's like an AA group but faith based," organizer Jamie Zitzka said. "It helps with hurts, habits and hangups."

Celebrate Recovery also has groups in Joliet, Minooka, Bolingbrook, Oswego and Naperville.

The addition of the Plainfield group means there is a local session available every day of the week, Zitzka said.

Zitzka said the Plainfield Celebrate Recovery meetings will run from 7 p.m. to around 9 p.m. Thursdays.
