'Spooktacular Downtown Plainfield' Returns Oct. 26
Head downtown on Saturday for some Halloween-themed fun.
The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce is taking over now-defunct MainStreet Plainfield's annual Halloween event.
Spooktacular Downtown Plainfield will return Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Kids can trick-or-treat free at the following participating businesses:
- Andreasen Travel & Cruises
- Art Cube Studios
- Associated Orthodontists
- Bin 48
- Dive Right In Scuba
- HopScotch & Vine
- Just Ducky
- Lighthouse Academy
- Lincolnway Barber Shop
- Moe Joe's
- On the Road Again
- Plainfield Public Library
- School of Rock
- Simply Saucy/What's New
- State Farm Insurance (Rick Hakey)
- Sweet Pea/Have to Have
- Tap House Grill
- Uptown Eatery & Tap
- Vaughan Dance Academy
- Village Flower Shop
- Wandering Dragon Game Shoppe
- Wine & Cheese by TCC
Pick up trick-or-treat bags at the chamber office, 24047 W. Lockport St., at 11 a.m. the day of the event (while supplies last).
Participating downtown businesses will also offer various sales and specials, and the following events are planned:
- 9am-1pm Plainfield Public Library will have Crafts
- 11am-1pm Trick or Treating at participating businesses
- 11am-2pm Free Pumpkins, hotdogs, popcorn, candy corn contest and decorating while supplies last. Sponsored by Century 21 Affiliated Pro team
- 1pm-4pm Family fun area Sponsored by YMCA
- 3:30pm-6:30pm (FREE) Hay-Rack Rides on the corner of DesPlains and Lockport
- 2pm-6pm Make your own spooktacular sundae at Gourmet Junction.
