It's a hidden gem in Plainfield — and organizers are hoping to change that.

A commercial was recently posted to YouTube to help spread the word about therapeutic riding barn Ready Set Ride, 13056 Essington Rd. between 127th and 135th streets.

The non-profit offers horseback riding to assist children with special needs and terminal illnesses. Children as young as age 3 come from all over Chicagoland to participate in therapeutic riding activities at the barn.

The three-and-a-half minute spot features mom Joy Harmen, who talks about how Ready Set Ride has helped 4-year-old daughter Emma with her gross motor skills.
