Conservation Plainfield Environmental Enhancement Project

Volunteers are needed for a Conservation Plainfield environmental enhancement project at Mather Woods on Saturday, June 23. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Mather Woods, 25032 W. Renwick Rd. in Plainfield. (Please be aware that Renwick and River Roads will be closed as part of Plainfield Township’s Renwick Road bridge construction project.) Community members are invited to assist in the removal of non-native invasive plants. An activity will be available for children, and lunch will be provided for volunteers at noon. The event will take place rain or shine and participants are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring work gloves and bug spray in case they are needed. Interested participants are asked to register by calling James Less at (815) 439-7940 or e-mailing less@plainfieldparkdistrict.com by Wednesday, June 20.
