The National Day of Prayer will be recognized at a 9 a.m. Thursday meeting at the flagpole at Plainfield Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St.
This interfaith prayer service has been planned by Plainfield Trustee Paul Fay and the Rev. David Green, and will include clergy and members from various faiths.
Area residents are welcome to attend the brief service.
