The event, which includes a craft, a snack, and an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny, will take place at Van Horn Woods, located on Lily Cache Road just north of Caton Farm Road. It will start at 10 a.m., with crafts and snacks until 11:30 a.m. The egg hunt will be divided into age groups. Participants age 3 and younger will scramble for eggs at 11 a.m., followed by 4- and 5-year-olds at 11:15 a.m., and 6- and 7-year-olds at 11:30 a.m. (Please note that the Plainfield Park District will host two Flashlight Egg Hunts for kids ages 7-12 on Friday, March 30.) The cost is $5 per participant for residents, and $7.50 per participant for non-residents. Those ages 8 and older can register for a “snack only” but will not be allowed to participate in the craft or egg hunt. The cost for a “snack only” is $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required by Friday, March 23. No on-site registration will be allowed. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants are asked to bring their own basket or bag for collecting eggs. The event will take place rain or shine.
