Plainfield Park District Week of the Young Child Family Fun Night

The Plainfield Park District will host its 8th annual Week of the Young Child celebration event April 21-27. FREE fun activities for the whole family will take place throughout the week.

The week will culminate with Family Fun Night on Friday, April 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Ira Jones Middle School, 15320 Wallin Dr. Carnival games will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. with a bubble magic show from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. The annual Week of the Young Child event was created to celebrate young children and thank teachers and all those who make a difference in young children’s lives.
