Plainfield Rotary Hosts Coat Drive for Veterans

In conjunction with the Department of Veterans Affairs Stand Down Day, the Rotary Club of Plainfield is collecting new and gently worn coats, hats, and gloves for homeless veterans in the Plainfield area.

Stand Downs are one- to three-day events meant to provide services such as food, shelter, clothing, counseling, and health screenings to homeless veterans. Plainfield Rotary is hosting the coat drive in collaboration with this department and the local VA.

New and gently used coats, hats, and gloves may be dropped off at the following locations: Route 59 Auto, Golden Bear Mortgage, Mark Peters Jewelers, BMO Harris (both branches in Plainfield), Plainfield Academy, Caton Commercial Real Estate, and Mickey O’Neills Pub and Restaurant.
