First Snow of the Season in Plainfield

It's unlikely we'll see any snow accumulation, but the wet stuff could be headed this way.

The first snowflakes of the year fell in Plainfield Tuesday afternoon — and flurries were also seen at O'Hare International Airport — and more wet weather could be headed for Will County.

According to the National Weather Service in Romeoville, there's a chance of rain and snow before 10 p.m. Tuesday, although the ground is likely too warm for snow to accumulate.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 43 degrees.
