Free Concerts, Movies to Kick Off in Settlers' Park

Movies start June 8; concerts begin June 14.

Free entertainment will be plentiful this summer in Plainfield.

This week, the , presented by the and , will begin, and the free concert series will hit on June 14.

Movies are screened under the stars in Settlers’ Park’s Richard A. Rock Amphitheater. The family friendly flicks will be shown at 8 p.m. every other Friday.

Presented by BMO Harris Bank, the movie schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, June 8: Puss in Boots (2011) PG, 90 minutes. Sponsored by Waste Management
  • Friday, June 22: Megamind (2010) PG, 96 minutes. Sponsored by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc.
  • Friday, July 13: Rio (2011) G, 96 minutes

Concerts kick off June 14

The , also held in the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater, will begin June 14. Hosted by the Village of Plainfield and presented by Tim Stetenfeld and , the concerts will be performed monthly.

The band schedule is as follows:

Event information

Parking for all Settlers’ Park events is available at the Village Hall parking lot, on Village Center Drive and on Van Dyke Road. Terraced seating is available, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Concessions will be available in the park.
