Each week we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK 1.

Where/When: , 7 p.m. March 18-19, 2:30 p.m. March 20.

Why Go: Because you can't go wrong with a play that combines the music of Stephen Sondheim with fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm.

2. WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP

Where/When: , Plainfield. Friday from 2-4 p.m.

Why Go: Let the young artists be introduced to watercolor paints and techniques in this one day workshop. Ages 6 and 0lder.

3. AUTHOR BREANNE MITCHELL at BARNES AND NOBLE

Where/When: , The Promenade Bolingbrook. Saturday from 1-3 p.m.

Why Go: Have you read I Love You From the Tippy Tippy Top to Your Teeny Tiny Toes!? Children's author Breanne Mitchell is in Bolingbrook this Saturday. The children will have the chance to listen to stories read by the author herself.

4. MIGRATORY WATERFOWL HIKE

Where/When: Lake Renwick Preserve, Heron Rookery Nature Preserve. Saturday from 8-10 a.m.

Why Go: Walk along the limestone trail while observing dabbling ducks and other species. Bring your binoculars and dress warmly.

5. REGAL VALUE DAYS: $6 ALL SHOWS

Where/When: . Every Tuesday, all day.

Why Go: On Tuesdays, it's Regal Value Days: $6 for all shows. You an also get a featured size popcorn for $1 with a paid admission (Regal Crown Club membership card required). Regal Crown Club membership card is free and is delivered four to six weeks after registration.

BONUS SCHOOL CHORAL FESTIVAL – ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS
