PHOTOS: Plainfield Celebrates 62nd Annual Community Homecoming

The festivities took place Saturday, Oct. 5, in downtown Plainfield.

Storms held off Saturday morning, allowing the Plainfield Community Homecoming parade to go off without a hitch.

This year, soon-to-retire Plainfield School District Superintendent John Harper served as parade grand marshal. The festivities also featured future Superintendent Lane Abrell, who will succeed Harper, along with class of 1929 member Viola Dollinger Ramsay — believed to be District 202's oldest living alumna.

Special thanks to Joel Craig for photos of the parade. Click here to view the entire gallery.
