Plainfield Church Welcomes New Pastor

Sharon United Methodist Church is pleased to welcome our new pastor, Rev. Dr. Young Eun Choi and his wife Seung Hee. They come to Sharon UMC from Glenbrook Korean UMC in Northbrook. Pastor Choi has a Doctorate of Ministry with an emphasis in pastoral counseling. Seung Hee is an art teacher at an elementary school in downtown Chicago. They are the parents of a daughter, who just graduated from college and will begin grad school in the fall as well as a son who is an architect in Chicago.

Former Pastor Rebecca Rutter left the church in June to begin a new appointment at New Hope United Methodist Church in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Worship services at the church are at 9:30 a.m. Sundays at 23913 W. Lockport St.
