Plainfield Students entering sixth through ninght grades are invited to the 17th Annual D.A.R.E .Pool Party from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Ottawa Street Pool, 23820 W. Ottawa St., Plainfield.
The event, which will include swimming, a DJ for dancing, pizza and pop, is sponsored by the Village of Plainfield, Plainfield Park District, Target and Hyper Entertainment.
Although there is no admission fee, pre-registration is required by Monday, July 29.

Registration forms may be picked up and returned to the Plainfield Police Department, 14300 S. Coil Plus Dr.;, Park District Offices or pool on Ottawa Street; the Plainfield Public Library circulation desk, 15025 S. Illinois St.; C.W. Avery YMCA, 15120 Wallin Dr ; or Plainfield Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St.
