Plainfield Fest Seeking Entries for Second Annual Pizza Contest
Radio Disney will also be at this year's fest.
Last year, more than 200 people lined up to taste-test pizzas at the inaugural Plainfield Fest best pizza contest.
This year, organizers are again accepting entries for the contest, which will take place during this year's fest, set for July 18, 19 and 20 in downtown Plainfield. The taste-testing is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20; fest-goers will be able to sample the pizzas for $5.
Organizers are limiting this year's contest to 10 local pizzerias. Businesses who want to get involved should email hh3212@yahoo.com for more information.
Radio Disney to appear
Organizers on Monday announced that for the first time ever, Radio Disney will be a part of Plainfield Fest.The appearance is courtesy of sponsor DuPage Medical.

The three-day event offers food, live music, carnival rides and more.Proceeds from the fest benefit efforts to revitalize Plainfield's riverfront through the Riverfront Foundation.
