Plainfield Fire Dept. is Toys for Tots Drop-Off

Donate new, unwrapped toys at any of the fire district's firehouses or administration center. Deadline is Dec. 13.

Editor's note - The following is a press release issued by the Plainfield Fire Protection District: 

The Plainfield Fire Protection District will be accepting new toy donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. 

Toys may be dropped off at any of our four fire stations: Fire Station One at 14415 S. Coil Plus Drive, Fire Station Two at 23806 W. 135th St., Fire Station Three at 25001 W. 119th St., and Fire Station Four at 15930 S. Frederick St.

Toys may also be dropped off at our District Administration and Training Facility at 23748 W. 135th Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In order to allow time for sorting, wrapping and distribution of toys by the Toys for Tots Foundation the last date to donate toys will be Thursday, Dec.  13.  Donated toys need to be new and in their original packaging. Please do not gift wrap the toys.

If you would like to sign up your child to be a Toys for Tots recipient please send an email to Lt. Claudia Simmons of the Salvation Army at claudia_simmons@usc.salvationarmy.org and type your request in the email message. Please include your mailing address and a phone number.
