Plainfield Fire District Hosts Senior Luncheon

Seniors should RSVP to the free hot dog lunch by Sept. 20

The Plainfield Fire Protection District is hosting the Plainfield Triad Senior Luncheon on at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.  

This free hot dog luncheon will be held at the Fire District Administration and Training Building, 23748 W. 135th St.  This event is open to all area seniors however pre-registration is required. Call 815-436-5335 to register on or before September 20th.

The Plainfield Triad is a partnership that includes the Will County Sheriff’s Department, the Plainfield Police Department, the Joliet Police Department, the Plainfield Park District, the Plainfield Public Library and the Plainfield Fire Protection District.

The Plainfield Triad meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 11 a.m. at Cedarlake Village in Plainfield. The main purpose of Triad is to offer crime prevention tips, fire and life safety information and other educational programs that are specific to seniors.  

All area seniors are welcome to attend. For more information about Triad, contact Sgt. Teri Ellingham with the Elderly Services Section of the Will County Sheriff’s Department at 815-727-5678.
