Plainfield Homecoming Parade Float Winners Announced

A look at this year's top floats.

A look at the judges

This year's homecoming judges were picked because of their leadership and ties to the Plainfield community. On behalf of the alumni, the C.A.P.E Organization would like to thank them for their help and commitment to the "old school spirit."

Sarah Arrigoni – Opened White Satin Bridal in downtown Plainfield nine years ago. Specializing in bridal gowns, bridesmaids, tuxedos and special occasion gowns including prom and homecoming.

Dr. Tammy Sroczynski has worked ten years with District 202 and is now the new principal of Freedom Elementary School.

Anita Gerardy
 has been Plainfield Township Clerk for over four years.

Ken McCafferty 
-former Plainfield Township Trustee for 10 years; a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America; proud parent of five kids.

Suzanne Baker
- Reporter, Plainfield Enterpriseactive in the Plainfield community for the last 15 years.

Erin Williams
-Youth and Family Director, Greater Joliet Area YMCA has been working for the YMCA since 2003.Active member of the Plainfield Lions Club. Erin grew up in the Plainfield Community, attended St. Mary Immaculate church and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1998. She played volleyball and basketball, ran track and was a member of the bowling team. Erin has been a proud member of the Plainfield Lions Club since 2004.

J
ulie Adelmann- Proudly represents John F. Kennedy middle school as the Assistant Principal. She has worked in the Plainfield School District for eight years as a guidance counselor and social worker at Plainfield North High School, and Wesmere and Meadow View Elementary schools.

Anita Quinlan
, Community Relations Coordinator for the Plainfield Public Library, has worked with many area businesses and with District 202 to improve the sense of community in Plainfield.

Karla Budz
- Is the current President of the Thomas Jefferson Elementary School PTO. She has five children and enjoys being active in the community.

CAPE also extends a special thank you to HopScotch & Vine for hosting the judges' pre-parade meeting, complete with complimentary coffee.
